“Grand Missouri has partnered with St Vincent De Paul two years now, holding a clothing drive.” Says Rudy. Community engagement is at the heart of Rudy’s role, and events like the clothing drive exemplify his commitment to making a positive impact beyond the confines of Grand Missouri. By collaborating with local organizations, he enriches residents’ lives and strengthens ties with the wider community.
Helping residents find a home to purchase and qualifying them are two of Rudy’s biggest responsibilities. And Rudy goes above and beyond. “One of my biggest challenges is converting my rental homes to make them homeowners. If they had lending issues, we would figure out why and ask them to fix that, and we can revisit in 6 months and reapply for financing. Since they are already established living here, I wouldn't uproot them. Since working at Grand Missouri, I have converted 6 out of 8” says Mariscal.
