ABOUT
Many people don’t know that both manufactured homes and RVs greatly benefit from home warranty. They also have different maintenance than stick-built homes. For example, you need to winterize your home every winter, and register it with your county. Visit your county’s specific website to check these guidelines on how to register, where to place the registration decal, the cost of registration, and how often you need to re-register your home. You can also check this website for the registration rules by your state. RV Registration Rules by State – RVBlogger
At Roots, some of our communities handle the registration process for you and will automatically charge the cost included with no extra fee, but please speak with your community manager to see if this applies for your community.
New and used manufactured homes and RVs also have data plates, where you can find what year it was made, the make and model, and the serial number. If you can’t locate this, first google where the plate is on your home. If it isn’t there, it is possible it fell off, and you can order a replacement through the agency based on your state you can find in this link. Manufactured homes are also built specifically for the region they’re going to be in. Your home will be tailored to fit the region’s wind, humidity, and heat.
