At Roots Management Group, success isn’t just measured in numbers, it’s measured in impact. And for one of our Community Managers, that impact is already being felt in a powerful way.
Ant Boardeaye, Community Manager at Anderson Creek began selling homes last month and already helped two families take the next step into homeownership. He is ready to help more families this month.
Approaching his two-year anniversary with Roots Management Group this August, his journey into property management began long before joining the company. With nearly seven years in the industry, he’s worked his way up from porter in military housing to leadership roles across leasing and operations.
Along the way, he’s inspected more than 3,000 homes, everything from apartments and condos to single-family and manufactured homes, gaining a deep understanding of what makes a house a home.
His experience spans multiple markets across North Carolina and includes a strong track record of training teams, improving performance, and earning recognition for his work.
When asked what’s behind his early success in home sales, his answer is simple: drive, dedication, and family.
With the support of his wife and son, he stepped into this opportunity ready to learn and grow. Armed with a degree in Business Administration and a passion that developed over time, he knew he had found the right path in property management, one where he could build a career while making a meaningful difference.
What sets his approach apart is how natural it feels, not just to him, but to the people he works with.
“I don’t rely on anything fancy,” he shares. “I just focus on being myself.”
For him, it’s about building real connections, listening closely, understanding each person’s situation, and showing up committed to being honest and professional. There’s no pressure, no overpromising, just clear, genuine communication.
While closing deals is exciting, it’s the people behind those moments that leave the biggest impression.
One experience early in his career continues to shape how he shows up every day. While helping a buyer relocate, she was unexpectedly hospitalized in the ICU during the process. He stepped in to support her however he could, coordinating details, checking on her home, and making sure nothing fell through the cracks.
It was a powerful reminder that this work goes far beyond transactions.
“It showed me that you never know what someone is going through,” he says. “That’s why I lead with kindness and service.”
That same heart was on full display with his second home sale, a first-time buyer who was overwhelmed with joy at finally having a place to call her own.
More Than a Sale, It’s a Home
Unlike traditional sales roles, this doesn’t feel transactional—and that’s exactly why he loves it.
“It doesn’t feel like selling,” he explains. “It feels like helping someone find a home.”
At Roots, that distinction is everything. It’s about guiding people, understanding their needs, and helping them step into a space where they can build their lives and create lasting memories.
Looking Ahead
With momentum already building, his goal is clear: 100% occupancy and thriving homeowner communities across both of the communities he manages.
And for others looking to follow a similar path, his advice is grounded and practical:
Keep learning. Ask questions. Stay authentic.
“Just be yourself and keep it real,” he says. “People can tell when you’re genuine.”
Life Beyond the Community
Outside of work, his world revolves around family. Whether traveling, creating memories with his wife and son, or staying connected with his church community, he values the moments that matter most.
A former track and field athlete, running has also been a lifelong outlet, something he turns for clarity and reset when life gets busy.
His method is simple and a great reminder that in just a short time, you can change lives one home at a time.
