Roots Management Group is proud to share stories that exemplify the power of community engagement and service-oriented actions. We are working to transform the manufactured housing industry by fostering a strong sense of community and utilizing its inherent goodwill.
In this week’s newsletter, we will explore the inspiring example of a flourishing garden project in Redwood Estates, Memphis, and discuss the growing need for CPR education to ensure the well-being of our residents.
Community Gardening: Cultivating Unity and Well-being:
Bridgette Crenshaw, a dedicated community manager, envisioned a lush garden that would beautify Redwood Estates and provide residents with a sustainable source of fresh produce. With the support of Miscella Bowman, they invested their holiday contest prize money into purchasing materials for raised garden beds and seeds. Their decision to prioritize community well-being over personal indulgence exemplifies the power of community service inertia. The garden nourishes residents’ bodies, fosters connections, sparks conversations, and strengthens their sense of belonging. It serves as a reminder of the transformative potential within communities when they come together for a shared purpose.
This initiative also brought in the service of The Junior Food Waste Council (JFWC). An active group of young ambassadors who recognized the importance of addressing food scarcity and waste within their community. These passionate individuals approached Bridgette Crenshaw and were allowed to host a weekly warm meal for Redwood Estates members and the wider community. The JFWC contributes to community members' physical and emotional well-being by providing protein, vegetable sides, and warm bread. This collaboration demonstrates the importance of engaging youth in community service initiatives, empowering them to make a positive impact, and instilling a sense of responsibility and empathy from an early age.

Promoting Life-saving Skills: Partnership with the American Heart Association

Through this partnership, Roots Management Group underscores its commitment to its residents and staff's safety and well-being, highlighting the importance of taking collective action to reduce the staggering statistics surrounding cardiac arrests.
