Our residents are the heart of everything we do. Your stories, your families, your traditions, and the pride you bring to your homes inspire our mission to create communities where people feel welcome, supported, and connected.
And behind the scenes, and often right out front, are our employees. They’re the ones going above and beyond to keep our communities cared for and thriving. Recently, we asked team members to nominate colleagues they appreciate, and the responses were overflowing with gratitude and stories of everyday excellence.

Aric is the driving force behind the new Home Inspections App in Retool—putting in long hours, even on weekends, to meet deadlines. His expertise, teamwork, and willingness to teach others have made this project a major win for Roots.
🌟 Brandi Dwenger
Brandi has been a steady, patient, and knowledgeable guide to new team members—from the smallest questions to full training. She ensures others are set up for long-term success, always with a smile.
🌟 Brandie Crane
From answering questions to solving vendor challenges, Brandie is the go-to person for many. She works tirelessly, helps without hesitation, and genuinely cares about her coworkers. Her dedication stands out every day.
🌟 Clark (Roger) Morris
Even while navigating personal challenges, Clark remains positive and upbeat. His wealth of maintenance knowledge, willingness to help, and genuine care for residents and coworkers make him an inspiring presence within his community.
🌟 Colin Mathews
Colin takes on projects that make a difference far beyond his own portfolio. He spends countless hours auditing, correcting, and collaborating across departments. His commitment—and his humor while working with an all-women team—are deeply appreciated.

Crystal’s teammates describe her as the definition of support. She’s knowledgeable, detail-oriented, always available, and consistently goes the extra mile, making teamwork smoother and stronger.
🌟 Debbie Collins
Debbie is known for lifting others up. She shares her experience, mentors colleagues, and finds creative ways to help fellow community managers succeed. She leads by example and is deeply respected.

Edgar is a beloved presence in Agave Village, working tirelessly in the Arizona heat, learning new skills, answering resident calls (even in the middle of the night), and keeping the community running smoothly. His dedication has had a tremendous impact.

Laura is the embodiment of “I’ll help you get it done.” She volunteers first, finishes last, and supports everyone around her, all with a smile. Her positivity makes every project stronger.
🌟 Maria Williams
Maria has grown tremendously as a Regional Manager. Her ability to accept feedback, provide positive guidance, and hold her team accountable sets a high standard. She brings solutions, addresses challenges head-on, and leads with integrity.
🌟 Mark Welch
Mark pours his heart into preparing homes for new families. His attention to detail and pride in his work ensures that every home is something residents can be proud of the moment they move in.
🌟 Meghan Nowotny
Since welcoming new team members into the RM role, Meghan has offered warmth, guidance, and encouragement. She shares her knowledge generously and models the collaborative spirit that makes Roots a great place to work.
🌟 Michael Lee
Under Michael’s leadership, his team responds quickly, works collaboratively, and embraces the spirit of “Rally Together as One.” Their efforts have helped bring in over $1.4 million in internet agreements this year, an outstanding reflection of teamwork.

Sebastian is always ready and happy to help with any question, project, or problem. He goes the extra mile to ensure others get exactly what they need, always with a smile.
Giving Back This Season
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, our Arizona corporate office took time to give back by volunteering at Feed My Starving Children, packing meals to support kids around the world. It was a meaningful reminder that the same values of care, teamwork, and service that make our communities thrive can make a difference far beyond our neighborhoods as well.
